Having worked with youth athletes for a number of years, I’ve found that no matter how different the body type, sport, or focus, there is one crucial aspect that never changes. . . Who controls the outcome? It is the one immeasurable characteristic of training that is truly out of the control of coaches and trainers. One cannot measure the heart or the focused intent of someones mind. There is a saying that goes “If you think you can or you can’t... you’re right”. A gifted coach/trainer is not only an expert but a motivator, remaining sensitive to the intrinsic and extrinsic motivation of the athlete. However, that’s where our influence ends. The intangible capacity of what the athlete is convinced of in his or her own heart and mind dictates how far they can go and is the key to ALL their success. Hey I'm Geoff! Following my GOD implanted desire to spread God's word by helping people get fit started and continues with high school athletes in track and field. I taught high school English and coached basketball and track and field in the late 90's. Moved on to youth track and field for the next 7 yrs. with the Moreno Valley Rockets track club in Moreno Valley, CA. Adding recreation basketball and Junior All-American Football as my 3 sons grew older (now 17,15 & 12), I also officiated high school aged athletes in football, basketball, volleyball, soccer and sponsored/assistant coached a roller hockey team. I've also encouraged a local middle school to include Ultimate Frisbee as a spring time school-wide competition. Been married since 1989, my wife is also an educator and my boys, including my nephew and my son's friends, have been best clients since I became certified through World Instructors Training Schools in August of 2009. My mission is to provide the highest quality of training from the inside out to accomplish the client goals.
